hi dear zoners! the 'blinknation' network is alive again, actually, it has been alive since the 26'th of april, but I can't find any register form here! please, explain me, a stuped russian lady, how to become a member of B.N.! may be i need an invitation - if so... well... it would be nice of you to create one for me.

For a supposed blink site, they have a unique way of doing flash content on the bottom of their page.
Never been there before but here we have some flash with nondescript names for some buttons. Sorry to sighted users but reader users can see here below what you may observe in your buffers:

Now it will actually read back: 'button button' or show 'button btn' or whatever symbol your display have to denote a button because these controls with role pushbutton are deliberately labeled with the name button.

I had an account on there, but forgot my password, so don't know how to register or get my password back. And have noticed those buttons, though there are some links, but no register or forgotten your password link.
yeah, same here and I've forgotten my username too, which is really stupid, but I can't re-register either, tried clicking everywhere, but no luck!

I noticed too that there's not a link for forgotten passwords. The only thing I got lucky on is that I have a place where I keep a list of my account names and/or passwords and I happened to not delete the Blink Nation one. When you do log in though, there's also no way of getting further into your own account, like you can't edit your profile or anything like that either. Honestly, it's cool that they're working on updating it, but they really should've worked more on it as far as doing something about forgotten passwords and making existing user's accounts available to their respective users before making it available to us again. I didn't see anything about how a new user can register either. There is no link for that or for an existing user to invite that person.
I couldn't agree more. Because I actually preferred Blinknation over the Zone. So as far as I'm concerned it's not alive and won't be until we who forgot our passwords and things can retrieve them, and of course truly access our accounts.
does anyone know how to contact geek woamn?
as far as i know, she is still the administrator of the website, and she's not logged in here for ages.
it might be the only way to get our passwords back.

The only way I know of is on Facebook, unless you want to try Emailing her via her Waldorf PC web site.
Well, obviously the site is in the beginning stages of being rebuilt after it was hacked into, I can log in, but cannot do any more than read profiles, including my own which is blank, apparently because the hacker deleted it, the chat room is functional, but no one really uses it much since the rest of the site is not back up yet, no blogs or forum posts available or any way to contact other users either. There is no option to get a new password, or for anyone to join yet, you could try e mailing Geek Woman, but good luck getting a response, lol.

I could be wrong, but I think the buttons may be for low vision users to change the colors and contrast of the page, they really should label them though.

Honestly, I don't think that 'blinknation' will ever be back-to-normal-life again because the latest and the only news is of the 26'th of April. If nothing has been done since then, I'm in doubts it will ever been done. alas!
Me too, even though Geek Woman has told me on Facebook that it will be back.
Well we have no idea what is going on behind the scenes, I didn't think they would even do this much, so we might just be surprised. I am not losing hope.
I'm not holding my breath. I would have expected at least SOME news by now.
Well, they should update the news section, at least let us know if they are still working on it, and by the way, I e mailed Geek Woman the link to this board topic.
That's precisely the point. News even just to say they ARE! still working on it would, I'm sure, help to keep people's hopes and confidence up. I certainly do hope the site comes back eventually since as I said I preferred it to the Zone. But I'll believe it when I see it.
